·         All members of the Badminton team see Ms Adams in room 114 ASAP to get your spirit wear hoodie order form.  All orders are due by the 19th so we can have them in before the end of school.


·         Do you want to see your handsome teachers clean shaven faces?  Come out to the Relay booth during Springfest next Wednesday May 13th to shave your favourite teachers’ beards.  Only under the condition that we raise a minimum of $70.00 per teacher.  We will be raising the money starting on Monday by the atrium.


·         Congratulations to the April athletes of the month:  Varsity girls soccer:  Patricia Arce and Varsity boys soccer:  Brendan Johnson.  Please come down to the phys ed office at lunch to have your picture taken and receive your pita pit gift certificate.


·         Track team practice today at 3:30.  Everyone must attend!


·         If you are interested in doing a co-op placement at Cogeco next year you must see Mrs Stearns Brown in room 136 this week or email me.  Interviews will take place in June.  As a co-op student you are assigned to a staff producer and you will gain hands on experience while helping to produce full HD programming content.  You will learn production skills such as camera, audio operation, editing, graphics etc.


·         In 2008, 7.6 million people died of cancer;  13% of all deaths worldwide.  Fundraise to help us make a difference!  Congratulations to our top 3 OT fundraising teams; Too inspired to be tired, Hot Fuzz and Golden Soles!  Keep up the amazing work.


·         If you need volunteer hours sign up in the main office for the James W Hill public school Spring Fair on Saturday May 23rd from 9-3.


·         Its Friday so Board Game Club is back  period 4 in room 225.


·         Students who have already submitted applications for co-op for the 2015/16 school year have been getting interviews.  If you don’t have your application you are not in the first round of interviews  and you could miss out on your desired placement.  Applications can be picked up in guidance or see Mrs Stearns Brown in room 136.


·         Thanks to everyone who helped make yesterday’s Nepal day possible.  Together we raised over $500.00 which the Canadian government will match.  Join us next week at the a table for Nepal at Springfest.
