·         Do you want to have a chance to win a jar full of candy?  Well then you should go visit the water project table during 4th period lunch to guess how many kisses there are in the jar.  The closest guess wins the jar.  It only costs $1.00 and all the money goes to building wells for people who walk miles to get dirty water each day.

·         If you love to write now is your chance!  The annual OT writing contest is back.  Both poetry and short stories will be accepted until Monday May 23rd.  Check out the posters around the school for more info and the visual prompt and as William Wordsworth said “fill your paper with the breathings of your heart”.

·         There will be a meeting of the Dead Poets society today in the Library conference room.  This meeting is quite important so make sure you show up.

·         Thanks to everyone who participated in OT’s “Today We Play”activities. Shout out to the ultimate Frisbee winners and remember to check out the silent auction again as we now have a scarf signed by 2 time Olympic Champion Alex Bilodeau.

·         We are pleased to announce that Mr Paul Fulford will be coming to OT next Thursday May 15th to give a talk to our students on Space Exploration Robotics and plans to put people on Mars in the 2030’s.  This will be a fascinating talk for anyone interested in engineering, science, technology, math or simply in the wonders of space exploration. The talk will take place in the theatre after school and will last for about an hour.  Mr Fulford is an engineer with MDA Corporation.  Mr Fulford gave a fantastic talk to the student body last year on the MARS Rover project and all students and staff are welcome to attend.
