·         Junior and senior girls volleyball will have their first tryout Wednesday after school from 3 -5.  Bring in your forms and come dressed in proper attire.  If you can’t make the first tryout due to another sport please see Miss Finan.

·         Senior boys volleyball had another big win yesterday against Georgetown.  The boys played strong throughout with excellent sportsmanship and some great saves by Pat Smith, solid play by Mark VanHees and great setting by Cole Buck.

·         Yesterday the senior football team played Loyola.  The Devils dominated in all phases of the game.  Brett Switzer hauled in 2 interceptions on D and Cale Cutcliff threw touchdown passes to Will Izzard and Jonathan Rego.  Riley Manning provided over 100 yards of rushing and scored a touchdown as the Red Devils handily won 31 -0.  Our last regular season game is next week against MM Robinson.

·         Yesterday the girls varsity basketball team travelled to Milton to compete against Jean Vanier.  This was their last game of the season and the Devils finished on a positive note showing their hard work, effort and aggressiveness, but it was not enough to defeat Vanier.  A special thanks goes to our only grade 12 Britt MacKinnon for her 4 years with the program.

·         OT Relay for Life volunteer committee meeting will be on Monday Oct 27th in the atrium at 7:30.

·         The junior boys volleyball team had a close game against the Georgetown Rebels yesterday.  After coming up short on the first set 23 – 25 the boys played hard taking the second set 25-20.  There were great attacks and tips from Bennet Swan.  In the final set the Rebels dominated and took the game.  Our last regular season game at White Oaks is on Tuesday.

·         The junior girls field hockey team ended their season yesterday in a hard fought, competitive game against Nelson.  Our goalie Jackie Carlson did a great job keeping the final score at 3 -0.  Congrats to all the girls on a great season.

·         Next week is Oktoberfest!  Monday:  Movies in the Caf, Tuesday: Cake walk, Wednesday: Plaid Day, Thursday: Throwback Thursday and Friday: Wear your Halloween costumes and bring your money for your Devil Day!
