  • Attention Track and Field team; our first practice will take place tomorrow Tuesday March 19th after school in the weight room.  Bring your forms with you.

  • This Thursday March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day.  It is observed in more than 60 countries worldwide to raise people’s awareness and to recognize and celebrate the contributions made by the people with Down Syndrome.

Down Syndrome occurs when someone is born with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome, this is why 3/ 21 is significant.

For the past 4 years the Lunch Buddies have been positively affecting our school and community by showing appreciation of diversity and inclusion.  Over the next few days they will be distributing yellow ribbons at lunch in the Atrium to symbolize your support of our peers with Down Syndrome.  Wear your ribbon proudly OT.

·               Did you know that Earth Hour is the largest movement for the planet in human      history, spanning 7000 cities, 152 countries with a digital reach of 200 million.  Earth Hour is much more than a symbolic action of switching off lights for an hour; it is a continuous movement driving actions big and small that are changing the world we live in.  The Environmental Club is asking every student and staff to participate in Earth Hour this Saturday March 23rd.  Turn out the lights and turn off and unplug all unnecessary electronic devises from 8:30 – 9:30 on Friday night.  Come by the atrium during lunch this week to sign up and pledge to participate this Saturday.
