·         The Interact Club would like to thank everyone who participated in the Movember activity to raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer.  Jackson Finkbeiner was the big winner of the students who not only grew an awesome stache he raised an amazing $ 470.00 overall.  Mr Valley was voted tops in the teacher category.

 

·         Join Wellness Council for a cup of tea in the atrium during periods 3 & 4.  $1.00 a cup with free refills and money goes to support the Canadian Alzheimers Society.

 

·         Computer Club resumes today in room 197 during period 3 & 4.

 

·         Wrap gifts in recycled or reused wrapping paper or funny papers.  Also remember to save or recycle used wrapping paper.  Give gifts that don’t require much packaging such a concert tickets or gift certificates.

 

·         Kerr Street Ministries is looking for hats, mittens and scarves to keep the homeless warm this winter.  Please donate to Wellness Council’s Mitten Tree located in front of the main office.

 

·         This week RDC is running Rebecca’s Gift, a drive that donates gifts to the Halton Children’s Aid.  As most of the youth in this society are between the ages of 13 – 18 gifts for teens such as gift cards, electronics, toiletries, and clothing are greatly appreciated.  Donations will be accepted outside the RDC office during periods 3 & 4 through next week.

 

·         Outdoor Education Programs, Experimental Learning, classrooms within the environment.  Do any of these qualities interest you?  Trailhead and Bronte Creek Project are specialized programs offered by the Halton District School Board.  Visit students from Trailhead and Bronte Creek today in the atrium periods 3 & 4.

 

·         The individual Pathways Plan or IPP is due next Thursday.  If you are in grade 9 or 11 you would have receive d information on the IPP when guidance counsellors visited your class.  If you are in grade 12 the information was communicated during the university PIN sessions and the college application sessions.  If you do not have a copy come to Guidance to pick one up.
