·         Congratulations to the junior tennis team who captured the GHAC Championship yesterday in Burlington.  Silver medals were won by the boys’ doubles team of Ben Hamburg and Malcolm Prentice.  Silver medal in girls doubles to Allie Davies and Isabelle Aicklen and Gold medal went to the mixed doubles team of Melody Thomson and Andrew Aling.  There will be a 5 minute meeting after school for all junior boys tennis players in room 234.

 

·         There will be a brief meeting of the Dead Poets Society today after school in the Library conference room.

 

·         Come down to the atrium periods 3 & 4 and pay $ 1 for the chance to win one of 2 pairs of movie passes to Cineplex.  The raffle will only be running until Friday and all proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society.

 

·         Congratulations to the Junior boys rugby team on their victory in the Halton Championship and their undefeated season.

 

·         On April 22nd almost 3500 students from around Canada wrote the National Biology Contest including students from OT.  Aleks Djuric was top at OT ranking in the top 50 of all the 3500 students who wrote the contest.  Congrats to Aleks on his result.  The other 9 contestants can see Mr Rennie to find out how they did.

 

·         To all robotics team members there will be a meeting after school today to work on the baseball robot.

 

·         Anyone who wishes to be part of the DECA Executive team for next year please pick up a form from the business office no later than June 12.

 

·         Your junior girls rugby squad put on a gritty and gutsy performance last night to earn a 7 – 5 victory over the long standing rivals  STA, making OT the 2014 Halton Champions.  Congrats to the well deserved hard hat for Kelsey G and game ball to Katie Chalmers.
