·         A huge congratulations is extended to the following student winners of OT’s annual “We are Writers” contest.  In the short story category 1st place is awarded to Hamza Moiz for his story “ Long Live the King” 2nd place goes to Antonia Alksnis for her piece called “The Rats”.  In the poetry category 1st place is awarded to Ally Cantalini for her poem, “Rough Seas” and 2nd place goes to Ragini Singh for her poem “ Shocks of Simple Solitude”.  Winners are asked to report to room 190 to collect their prize money.

 

·         Congratulations to the athletes of the month for May;  Midget Rugby:  Sam Butcher, Girls varsity soccer:  Cassie DeJonge, Junior boys soccer:  Jay McNeill and Senior boys soccer:  Kristo DeGroot.  Please remember to come down to the phys ed office at lunch today to have your picture taken to be acknowledged on the monitor outside the fitness centre.

 

·         Are you stressed by exams, performance tasks and how rushed the last 30 days of school are?  If you said yes come to the Ping Pong Club tomorrow after school in the cafeteria at 3:00.

 

·         Volunteers are needed for the New Central Public School needs your help for their Spring Fair June 14th from 10 -2.  Come to the main office for more information.

 

·         Listen up all Animal Rights club members there will be an end of year party tomorrow after school to celebrate all of your hard work and dedication this year.  Bring a snack to share.

 

·         There will be a year end tennis tournament for the junior girls tennis team today after school.
