·         Our junior girls rugby team played Milton yesterday winning 30 -22 over Jean Vanier.  Game ball went to Kate Chalmers and Hard hat to Ayomide Papooka.

 

·         Weather permitting there will be a junior girls tennis practice after school.  Bring your permission sheets for the York University Invitational.

 

·         This week is mental illness awareness week which is an annual campaign designed to open the eyes of Canadians to the reality of mental illness.  Mental illness indirectly affects all Canadians at some point in their life.  It is estimated that 10-20% of Canadian youth encounter a mental illness specifically 3.2 million youth are at risk for developing depression.  So once problems are recognized help can make a difference for 80% of people who are affected.

 

·         On May 5th OT will be hosting an Ultimate Frisbee tournament to support the organization Right to Play.

 

·         All members of the concert band; there will be no rehearsal tomorrow morning.  Stay tuned for information regarding turning in music.

 

·         There will be no meeting on Tuesday for RDC candidates; that meeting has been cancelled.

 

·         Need Volunteer hours?  Sign up in the main office to volunteer at James W Hill Public Schools Spring Fair and Barbecue.  May 24th 9 -3.
