·        Attention grade 12 physics students. Any of those interested in writing the Sir Isaac Newton physics contest, please see Mr. Berrigan by Thursday.

 

·        OT’s gay straight alliance meets today at 3:00 pm in room 204. Our queer film fest starts today. Come by for a slice of pizza, a great film and fantastic company.

 

·        Yesterday our varsity boy’s hockey team travelled to Toronto to participate in the Canlan Invitational. The team opened up the tournament with a 2-1 loss to Richview and then tied Martingrove 2-2. Today the team faces Carter Secondary and All Saints from Toronto. The Devils will need a pair of wins to move to the play-off rounds. Good luck Devils.

 

·        The OT “we are writers” contest is back. Contest entries can be in the form of a short story or poem. Please see the posters around the school for the picture prompts that must inspire your writing pieces. Prize money is available, so get started on the writing process early.

 

·        Call all chemists! The time is here for the University of Waterloo chemistry contest. If you are up for a challenge, please see Mrs. McPhee with your $3 entry fee before April 3rd in the science office. Any grade 11 or 12 student is welcome to write.

 

·        Senior School Reach Team. There will be a practice after school today in room 232.

 

·        There will be a Duke of Ed meeting for all participants after school on Thursday in the library. All Duke of Ed participants should come out to get updates and information.

 

·        The robotics team is competing on home soil this weekend. Come check out their tournament at the Hershey Centre this Friday and Saturday between 9am and 4pm! Admission is free, so bring your friends and cheer on your school team!

 

·        Okay grade 12’s the game you’ve all been waiting to play is finally here. That’s right, Gotcha, formally known as assassin, is back. Sign up starts this Thursday, third and fourth period, and continues next week outside the RDC office. Don’t miss out; sign up as soon as you can. And remember to watch your back!
