·         To all students of the Volunteer Outreach Club.  There will be a brief meeting in Rm. 210 this Friday, the 24th.  See you there!


·         Picture day for NEW students and NEW staff members is being held on Monday, February 27th in the Library Seminar Rooms between 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon.  So if you are new to OTHS this semester, please make sure to go for your photo Monday morning in the Library Seminar Rooms.  New students will get their student cards at that time.


·         Yesterday our Varsity Boys Hockey Team traveled to Glen Abbey Arena to take on the Raiders of St. Thomas Aquinas.  The Devils built the lead on a couple of occasions but couldn’t hold it and found themselves down 4-3 going into the 3rd Per.  The boys worked hard and earned a 5-5 tie on two third period goals by Liam Kealey.  The Team’s next action is today when they end their regular season by traveling back to Glen Abbey Arena to take on the Eagles of Abbey Park.  The puck drops at 3:30 p.m.  Come out and cheer the team on.  Would teachers please excuse members of the Team at 2:00 p.m.  Go Devils Go and Good Luck!


·         The OTHS Swim Team competed at GHAC yesterday and 24 swimmers advanced to OFSSA!  The Senior Boys Relay Team smashed the GHAC record along the way.  Congratulations to Albert N., Paul L., Ahmed E., and Aidan T., who will be on the record books going forward!

·         Please congratulate Senior Girls Olivia B., Quincy D., Diana G., and Jacey V., who advanced in both their relaysThe Junior Boys also qualified both relays – well done Owen M., Connor M., Mohammed E., Ayden C.,, and Thomas V.  Alex R., Lexi M., Emily S., and Rianne A., will be representing the Junior Girls at OFSAA.  Mark M., Madison S., Carter W., and Cameron M., qualified in individual events along with many of the relay swimmers.  Please wish the team luck when they travel to Windsor March 6, 7 and 8.


·         Attention all students!  Every Child Now will be needing students to help plan our Skate it Up! Event coming up next month.  If you’re interested in earning volunteer hours and learning more about the event, come to Room 211.  All Every Child Now members must be present at the meeting today after school. New members are welcome too!  We are fundraising to help provide children in Halton and India  with a better education.


·         Yesterday the Wind Ensemble and Sr. Jazz Ensemble were in Hamilton competing at Musicfests Regional Band Competition.  Performance by the Wind Ensemble features the performance of various solos including solos by William L., Natasha R., Ellen M., Omid E., Anna L., Jessica P. Sydney C., and Harry Z.,  After a great performance they were given a Silver Plus ranking which means one of the two judges gave them Gold and the other silver.  This qualifies them to compete with the best bands in Canada at Nationals in May.


·         The Sr. Jazz Ensemble also did very well.  Their performance included solos from William L., Jackson T., Konstantin L., Ben J., and Ethan S.  They also received a Silver Plus ranking and were invited to compete at Nationals in May.  Good luck goes out to the Concert Band that will be competing in Hamilton today.


·         This announcement is for all students who drive to school. You must of parking are reserved for teachers. Students parking in those rows will receive parking tickets.get a parking pass from the Main Office. Also, the first two double rows
