·         Attention  Junior/ Senior  rugby players:  Mr Perera has cancelled rugby practices today due to the rain.

·         Try outs for the Varsity boys Lacrosse team are next Monday and Tuesday at the Toronto Rock Athletic Center at 3:30.  Bring your equipment.

·         This past week our junior boys hockey team participated in the Burlington Cup.  The boys tied both Garth Webb and Abbey Park 3-3 and then defeated T.A. Blakelock 3-1 to capture first place in their pool and earn a berth in the quarter finals against Iroquois Ridge.  It was a very close game with the Devils holding a slight edge in the play but couldn’t hold on and lost a close game 3-2.

·         Relay for Life is so close.  Why not be prepared and take advantage of early bird registration;  today is the Last Day you can register at the $20 price.  Team captains come to the Relay office with all of your teams forms and money to register.

·         The GSA will be selling tickets for their annual dance which will be next Thursday at Georgetown high school.  We’ll be selling Monday and Tuesday in the atrium in period 4.  Don’t forget the dance is Harry Potter themed.

·         It’s Friday which means Board Game Club is back.  Periods 3 and 4 in room 189B.

·         This is a reminder to Mrs Cruickshank’s grade 11 enhanced math class from semester 1; that the Bridge Tournament is on Monday.  Please meet in the atrium at 9:10 sharp.

·         Did you know that since 1969 the number of deaths from childhood cancer has decreased steadily by 66 % due to medical advancements.  However it remains the 2nd leading cause in children aged 1 -14 after accidents.  Participating in events like Relay can decrease this number even more. Don’t miss out on your chance to make a change.

·         Congratulations to our entire teaching staff:  our own OTHS staff for being the top fundraising school in Halton for the United Way for another year.
