·         Yesterday the Varsity girls hockey team travelled to Georgetown for their final regular season game.  The girls were dominant throughout the game earning a 9-2 win.  Goals scored by Maggie McLean, Katie Reilly, Katie Bouwman, Christina Sacha, Ainsley Morrison, Ella Smyth and Paige Murray.  This win earned the girls first place going into the playoffs with an undefeated regular season.

 

·         Yesterday the Varsity boys hockey team hosted the Tabbies of TA Blakelock at Glen Abbey arena.  The Devils had an early lead in the third period but the Tabbies clawed back to earn a tie with the Devils 3-3.  This was the teams last regular season game and with the tie the Devils finished first overall for the second year in a row.  They will start their playoffs at 16  mile Creek Arena on Monday.

 

·         A Drum, A Drum, Something Wicked this Way Come.  The audition sign-up sheet for the One Act Drama Festival is posted outside the theater.  Auditions will be next Tuesday and Wednesday.  If  you have any questions talk to Ms Muzzatti or Ms Cheeko.

 

·         The Concert Band and Chamber Ensemble travelled to Hamilton yesterday to compete at Musicfest.  Both groups played extremely well and were awarded silver plus.  They both were also invited to play at Nationals in May.

 

·         There will be a Math Club meeting today after school in room 216.  We will be preparing for Pascal, Cayley and Fermat contests which are held next Tuesday.

 

·         The University of Toronto National Biology Competition is Thursday, April 25th.  To register for the competition or to find out more information, see Ms Proctor in room 213 by Friday March 1.

 

·         Attention all football players:  there will be a meeting in the health room for all players interested in playing 7 on 7 touch football this spring.  Please note that to be eligible to play you must have played on the team in the fall and be returning to play OT football next year.  If you cannot attend the meeting today after school see Mr Hyde or Mr D’alesio.
