·         Attention all Soldier On members:  if you want to be involved with the Valentine’s Day candy grams you must attend a meeting today after school in room 210.

 

·         The Canadian Computing Competition is Wednesday Feb 20th.  Today is the last day to register for the contest.  If you have not registered yet and want to enter the competition, please see Mr Wilford for payment and registration details.

 

·         OTHS Relay for Life is hosting a fundraiser night at Boston Pizza.  Boston Pizza will be donating 10% of sales from the night towards OTHS Relay for Life.  This event will feature a prize draw where  you can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win Raptors tickets or a Boston Pizza gift card.  Come out to Boston Pizza Winston Churchill on Wednesday Feb 15th to support Relay and to be served by some of OT’s celebrity servers.  Check out the posters around the school for more information.

 

·         If you ordered a Music hoodie and haven’t picked it up please see Mr Clarke in the Music Room to get yours.

 

·         Interested in auditioning for the One Act Drama Festival?  There will be a brief information meeting on Tuesday Feb 12th after school in the theater.  If you have any questions please talk to Ms Muzzatti or Ms Cheeko.

 

·         Yesterday the varsity boys hockey team traveled to Toronto to participate in the Canlan York Canadian Classic tournament.  The team won both their games yesterday defeating Bishop Ryan from Hamilton 1-0 and Westmount from Thornhill 7-1.  Today the Devils will play Lively Secondary from Sudbury and Bill Crothers from Markham in the afternoon.

 

·         Representatives from UBC will be here today to visit applicants in Guidance Conference room to give out information and answer questions.

 

·         The February issue of The Devil’s Advocate, OT’s favourite newspaper, is out.  Get your free copy from the library or the library website.

 

·         Wind Ensemble members:  please see the sectional schedule hanging outside of the music room for the next week.  Sectional attendance is mandatory in order to participate in Musicfest.

 

·         Attention Wind Ensemble, Sr Jazz Ensemble and Sr Jazz Ensemble:  Permission forms for Musicfest are hanging outside the music room.  Please return these to your next rehearsal.

 

·         Congratulations to the Athletes of the Month for January.  Junior Boys Basketball – Sawyer Bovingdon, Senior Boys Basketball – Matt Saunders, Swim team – Anna Miao and Shaan Parmaar.  Please come down to the phys-ed office at lunch today to have your picture take.  Be sure to check it out on Instagram OTHSathletics.
