·         Attention anyone interested in running for RDC next year:  Do you want to be the voice of the students of OT? Come to the main office to pick up an application and they are due back Monday at the end of the day.


·         Are you interested in how to transition smoothly from high school to post-secondary?  Or would you like to learn about what programs are available in school?  Register for the Halton Youth Leadership Symposium.  For more info visit


·         Because of all your donations to Wellspring, Mr Fotheringham will be on his unicycle all day today.  Keep an eye out for him and the upcoming activities.


·         Springfest is in less than 5 days.  Get ready for lots of fun and food and don’t forget to bring in your contracts.  If you have period 2 spare come pick up a contract at the main office.


·         The junior boys soccer team experienced a disappointing 4-0 loss to Milton District yesterday.  Plan to attend and support the teams next home game next Thursday against Lester B Pearson.


·         The baseball team was back in action yesterday in their tournament in Niagara.  They started off the day with a 5-3 win over Denis Morris, led by solid pitching from Robbie Gauthier and Brandon Wasslen. They advanced to the semis with a 3-0 record.  They ran into a touch Neil McNeil team and failed to convert offensively, stranding 10 runners on base in a 3-1 loss.  They return to season play next Monday against Burlington Central.


·         Yesterday OT’s track team competed at the Mark Graham Memorial Meet in Hamilton.  All of OT’s athletes did an outstanding job and ran hard the whole day.  Rachel Don-Wauchope came first in the midget girls 1500m, Olivia Gardner came in 4th in midget girls 1500m, Jacob Clyde placed 3rd in the junior boys 100m hurdles, Danielle Lim came 7th in the junior girls 100m hurdles and Alex Thayer came 5th in the senior girls 100m hurdles.  The midget boys 4 by 100 meter relay came 3rd overall and won their heat.


·         DECA is looking for a new executive team for the 2016/17 school year.  Application forms are available from Mrs Bottema in room 238 and are due back to her on Friday May 13th.


·         Saving  the best for last.  Next week will be the last math contest of the year!  Form a team of 3 and take on this challenge.  Sign- up sheet is outside the math/science office.  Find out more information today after school at Math club in room 216.
