·         It’s Friday, which means Board Game Club is back.  Periods 3 & 4 in room 181.

·         Yesterday our varsity boys hockey team hosted their Annual Early Bird Tournament at Ice Sports Oakville.  The team opened up against Garth Webb and lost a tough one 3 -2.  The team bounced back and shut out Robert Bateman 2-0.  Their last game of the day was against the Rebels of Georgetown.  Despite controlling the play and having a number of power play chances they couldn’t capitalize on and they lost 2 -1.  Congratulations boys on a solid start to the year.  The team’s next action  is next week when they travel to Burlington to take part in the Burlington Wave Invitational.

·         Yesterday the junior boys volleyball team ruled the court with a huge semi-final win over Kings Christian.  Special mention to Matthew Tint for his 13 point run on serve and Simon Davis for his massive hitting.  Stay tuned as the boys move to Sheridan College on Monday to face Bishop Reding for the  Halton Championship.

·         So, we will be taking one fan bus to the junior boys volleyball championship on Monday morning.  Cost to buy out of periods 1 & 2 for grade 9 and 10 students only, will be $10.  40 seats only are first come, first serve with proof of fee payment and signed permission form.  An announcement will run at the start of lunch to let you know where to pick up permission forms.

·         Yesterday the senior football team played in a semi-final game against Loyola.  The game was a very tough defensive battle with Loyola leading 1 -0 at half time and the game being tied 1-1 going into the 4th quarter.  Unfortunately Loyola was able to score twice in the 4th quarter to win 15-1.  The team would like to thank staff for their support this season.
