·         Do you like trivia?  Hitting buzzers?  Meeting new friends?  If you answered yes, come down to the Reach meeting today after school in room 220.


·         Check out our newest Instagram account- OTHSathletics- Let’s support our school sports teams and show some spirit.  Send your coach photos and videos so we can post them.


·         Debate Club is back !  Do you have an interest in debating fascinating topics and improving your public speaking skills?  Then come to the debate club’s first meeting on Mondayafter school in room 126.  All levels of debate experience welcome.


·         Attention all grade 9’s:  RDC ( your student council )   is looking for grade 9 Class Reps.  Applications are now available in the Library.  Completed applications must be returned by next Wednesday so don’t waste time.  Ms Collett, Ms Spyropolous, Ms Powell and Mr Schaffler can answer any questions.


·         Yesterday the junior boys volleyball team opened their season with a tournament at Assumption.  The boys lost only two sets all day, finishing first in their pool and taking the championship gold.  Tournament MVP went to Kyle Blandford with special mention to Ronan Chew for his outstanding play in both left and right sides and Michael Harper for is memorable performance in the hitting competition.


·         Do you have an interest in a STEM related field?  What about business, Media, or outreach?  Come to the first robotics team meeting on Monday September 24th after school in the cafeteria.  We welcome all students regardless of skill level or age.  If you would like to pre- register please visit


·         Students are reminded they are not permitted to parking in the Maple Grove Public School Lots.  Please use our lot only.


·         If you are looking for some Community Service hours – the Oakville Food Bank can use your help during their Thanksgiving food drive.  Please see the volunteer bulletin board outside the theater for details.


·         Interested in the Health Sciences?  Join HOSA – our first meeting will be Tuesday after school in room 216.  All are welcome.


·         Need volunteer hours?  Sign up in the main office to volunteer at James W Hill Public School’s Fall fair and Barbecue.  Volunteers are needed October 13th from 9 am – 3 pm.
