·         OT Robotics teams 1334 & 1374 competed this past weekend at McMaster University district event.  Team 1334 placed 9th with a score of 8 and 4.  Team 1334’s rankings lead them to captain a team into the finals.  Unfortunately they were knocked out of quarter finals after 3 matches.

·         Team 1374 placed 38th with a score of 4 and 8.  A great showing for a rookie team.  Not only did they finish in the top 38 this past weekend they were also recognized with a special judges award to honour their demonstration of outstanding team support.  They were recognized during the course of the competition for their efforts, performance, dynamics and merit.  As well, Mr Woods was nominated for the prestigious mentor’s award and one of our students Aaron Leszkowiat was recognized as a semi -finalist for the Dean’s List award.  Both Mr Woods and Aaron will move on to the Ontario Championships to be further recognized at Ontario Championships.
