·         Congratulations to the junior boys basketball team on their victorious and well deserved win last week against MM Robinson.  Come out and cheer the team on tomorrow after school for our home game at 3:30.

·         This past weekend our Varsity boys hockey team traveled to Toronto to participate in the 36th annual Brother Arthur Memorial hockey tournament, hosted by De La Salle College.  The teams’ first game was a 6-3 victory over East York however the team dropped their next two games 3-2 to host Del La Salle and 5-2 to Crescent College.  This eliminated the boys from further contention.

·         Ski/ Snowboard practice is cancelled tonight due to the staff meeting, see you Wednesday.

·         If you are in the leadership class and want to help bake cookies today meet in the foods room at the beginning of period 3.

·         The last DECA meeting before the winter break will take place tomorrow December 8th during period 3 and after school in room 198.  DECA Provincials competitors please choose a time that works for you.

·         Do you want to help support a good cause this holiday season?  As in previous years RDC will be running Rebecca’s Gift which is a fundraiser where you can bring in items such as gift cards, clothes etc that will then be distributed to less fortunate teens in our community.  Bring the gifts to the atrium and leave them in our gift box or to the office anytime this week.

·         Friday is festive sweater day AND Devil Day all in one.  Make sure you wear your favourite holiday sweater and bring money to buy baked goods from various clubs of OT.

·         On Saturday six debaters from OT participated in the Halton Regional Debate Competition hosted at WOSS.  There were 37 debaters from a total of 8 Halton schools.  It was a long day with 4 rounds of debate.  Two out of our three teams placed in the top 5 and will be moving on to the Provincial Championships in February 2016.  Congratulations to the team of Javan Jang and Natasha Rozario as well as the team of Kornelia Drianovski and Alistair Bolton.  Our third team of Josh Hill and Alex Mays is to be congratulated for their strong efforts  especially as they debated against top tier national level debaters .
