·         Looking for a summer job?  Want to get paid while you are looking?  Applications are being accepted for Summer Youth Job Connection program being run by Employment Halton now.  This is 20 hours where you are paid to get help to look for work.   The number of students being accepted for the program is very limited.  Come down to the Library seminar room on Wednesday Feb 10th during  your lunch period to learn more.  Registration is required.


·         Wind Ensemble members:  Just a reminder that we have a guest conductor from the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra working with us today after school from 3:00 – 5:00 in preparation for Musicfest next week.


·         There will be a meeting in room 197 @ 2:50 today for junior boys soccer.  It’s very important to attend as permission forms for the 1st practice are being distributed.


·         A reminder to the senior boys rugby team that tryouts start today after school in gym AB.  Junior boys tryouts start on Wednesday at 7am in gym AB.  No form no play!


·         Happy Chinese New Year to all of our students celebrating today!  Wishing you all a great day and a bright and exciting new year.


·         There will be an important Soldier On meeting today after school in room 114.


·         A new semester is a great time to join a new club.  If you are interested in celebrating and honouring the diversity of our staff and student body, stayed tuned for further details about a new Multi-Cultural Club at OT- first meeting will be next Tuesday Feb 16th in room 116.


·         There will be a mandatory meeting for any boys interested in playing on the boys baseball team.  This is a varsity team so all grades are welcome.  The meeting is on Wed Feb 10th at 3:00 in room 216.  If you have any questions see Ms Preiner in the Math and Science office.


·         Attention ski and snowboard team:  there will be a meeting today after school.  Everyone must come out.  Hoodies will be handed out on Monday in room 112.


·         The Canadian Computing Competition is Wed Feb 17th this year.  Any student interested in writing the Canadian Computing Competition see Mr Wilford to register.


·         The music dept is travelling to Italy in May next year.  If you play in a band, take a music course, or sing in a vocal group you can participate.  There will be an information night Monday Feb 22 at 7:00 pm in the library and a full itinerary is hanging outside of the music rooms.


·         Any student taking an e-learning course in semester 2 is invited to attend a meeting in the Library seminar room during lunch on Tuesday, Feb 9th to learn more about how the course will be offered and to have any questions answered.


·         There will be a meeting for all students involved in the Honduras trip today after school in room 221.
