·         Heads up girls Junior tennis team:  weather conditions permitting there will be a practice today and Wednesday after school.


·         One in 5 Canadians will personally experience a mental illness in their lifetime.  This week is Mental Health week.  Help support the 20% affected by taking a look at the S.O.S. mental health board to educate yourself.  Wear green tomorrow in support of the 4.5 million Canadians suffering from a mental illness.


·         Learn about mental health!  Take part in lots of fun activities such as art therapy and yoga and listen to some great speakers.  Everyone is invited to RAD this Thursday at STA starting at 3:15.


·         After qualifying in the top 10 in Ontario grade 11 student, Eva Hong, headed to Nashville, TN to compete in the International DECA competition.  Eva competed in the “Apparel and Accessories” business event against thousands of students from around the world.  Congratulations on your success.


·         This past Friday our varsity  girls soccer team traveled to Ancaster to participate in the Royals Invitational.  The Devils worked hard and were eliminated in the quarter finals in penalty kicks.  The team played well and improved their overall game.


·         All girls on the varsity soccer team are asked to meet after period 2 in the Health room.


·         Today is Teacher Appreciation Day!  We are very lucky to have a great set of teachers here at OT.  Don’t forget to thank your teachers for all of their hard work.


·         Congratulations to the Athletes of the month for April:  Junior girls rugby:  Bridget Peros, Senior girls rugby:  Simone Oliveira, Junior boys rugby:  Andrew Easson and Senior boys rugby:  Willis Gregoire.  Please come down to the phys ed office at lunch today to have your picture taken.


·         Looking for Volunteer hours?  If so Maple Grove is looking for former students to volunteer at their Spring Fair on Saturday May 28th.  Please  check out all of the information on their school’s website, including a form to sign up.
