Collect cans for We Scare Hunger and drop them off at the booth in the atrium periods 3 & 4 to help make a difference.

 

There will be a brief cross country meeting after school today in room 197 to come pick up the sweaters you ordered.

 

The junior boys volley ball team finished their season last Thursday with a tough loss to Loyola.  With great setting by Patrick Liu and strong hitting by Sam Stewart the boys finished their season strong. Boys are asked to return their clean jerseys to room 184 ASAP.

 

November 16-20 is the YMCS Peace Week, as well as the Global Entrepreneur Week.  The Entrepreneur Club is hosting an Entrepreneur Expo.  Register for a booth to sell products such as homemade crafts or items from home to raise funds for Syrian refugees.  Pick up an application at Club Connect to make your business idea come true.  A customized 50 dollar gift card will be rewarded to the top sellers.

 

Last Thursday and Friday the senior boys volleyball team travelled to Loyola where they won in straight sets, then left the starters at home to rest as the rest of the team competed at  a tourney at CTK.  Under the leadership of Captain Matt Cursio the boys played well bringing home the consolation champion title.  Congratulations to MVP Patrick Stubbs.

 

Any senior boys interested in playing basketball this year should attend a meeting tomorrow at 3:00 pm in the fitness centre.  If you cannot make it see Mr Valley before tomorrow’s meeting.

 

The cross country team participated in GHAC held at Hilton Falls this past Friday.  It was a great day for OT; the senior boys team finished 1st overall in their division.  Members of the senior boys team include Roberto Lasso who placed an impressive 9th overall, Ryan Rudderham, Brandon Johnson, Michael Merrick, Maxim Aleixo, Parker Crawford, John Carson and Ravi Patel.  The senior boys will be participating in OFSAA this coming Saturday.  As well the Midget girls placed 3rd as a team and the Midget boys and senior girls placed 4th as a team. 

 

If you signed up for Open Mic night make sure you come to the previews after school today or Wednesday.  If you haven’t signed up yet and want to the sign- up sheet is outside the Club Connect office.
