·         There will be a meeting for anyone wishing to try out for the Junior boys basketball team, after school in the Health room, on Wednesday Nov 8th.  Please see Mr St Denis in the phys- ed office for details.

·         Did you know that 1 AA battery has enough zinc to save the lives of 6 children?  Did you also know that the Oakville Fare Share Food bank helps approx. 350- 400 families per month.  The Free the Children Club is running the We Scare Hunger Food and Battery drive until November 10th in the main office.  All donations of food go to the Oakville Fare Share Food bank and the batteries will be recycled ethically to harvest all the zinc.

·         November 11th is Remembrance Day;  the day which Canadians everywhere will proudly don their poppies as they remember the many men and women who have served and continue to serve their country.  Starting today the Remembrance Day Campaign begins and ends this Friday, November 10th.  The “ I Remember”  poppies and doves will be available for signing and the poppies will be sold in the atrium during periods 3 & 4, so come by and show your support for our fellow veterans today.

·         The OTHS Cross Country team is having its year end team party Tuesday after school at 3 PM in room 197.  Please sign up so enough food can be ordered.

·         All girls interested in playing volleyball are invited to a meeting Thursday at 3 PM in room 237.  The essential forms and information will be handed out for both Junior and Senior teams.
