·         Reminder that there will be a Soldier On meeting today after school in room 114.  Everyone who wants to volunteer for a good cause is welcome.

 

·         This is a reminder that Representatives from many Atlantic Coast schools will be here in periods 3 & 4 tomorrow in the atrium to give out information and answer questions.  Come see Dalhousie, UNB, Bishops and more.

 

·         Looking for volunteer tutors!  If you are interested in volunteer tutoring come to Guidance and pick up a form.  We are always asked for tutors in a wide area of courses.

 

·         Attention Music students:  If you play in a band or sing in a vocal group, you are invited to attend the Music Department Retreat on October 22-23.  Activities include high ropes, wall climbing and team building.  Registration packages are hanging outside the music room and payment can be made on the cashless site.

 

·         It’s your last week for being able to save money.  Do you like Old Navy. Pizza Nova, Taco Bell, Urban Planet?  Come to the atrium  periods 3 & 4, to buy your SPC card for exclusive student deals.

 

·         Do you want to get involved in the school?  Do you want to be a part of Relay for Life this year?  Come out to the Volunteer Callout this Tuesday to learn more about the different committees from our committee chairs, what a committee member does, and how you can apply.  Grade 9 and 10’s will be meeting in the theatre and Grade 11 and 12’s will be meeting in the library.

 

·         There will be a rugby tour meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45am in room 194.  Girls in grades 10-12 and boys in grades 11-12 can attend.

 

·         The Music Council will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:40 am in the music room.  All music students are invited to attend.

 

·         On Friday the junior boys volleyball team brought home the consolation championship in their first tournament at STA.  The boys played a strong game throughout and showed fantastic team  spirit.  Congratulations to Maxwell Marjanovic on serving the championship winning point.
