·         The 2014/2015 Honour Roll list is now posted in the main display case.  We are asking students to please take a look and report any discrepancies to Mrs Vathy in the main office.  We have a very exciting breakfast and speaker event coming up on October 7th for our Honour Roll students.  Invitations to this event will be distributed through homerooms later this week.  So please check the list!

 

·         The Junior field hockey team played in their first tournament on Friday.  The girls finished first in their pool, thanks to goals from Julija Rego and Celeste Nantel.  Although they lost a tight game to Frank Hayden all signs point to an exciting season ahead.

 

·         Please come down to the atrium during period 3 & 4 and pick up your SPC card.  Tuesday will be the last day to do so.

 

·         The last try-out for the JR girls basketball team is today after school at 3pm sharp.  Any new player in grade 9 or 10 must have their pink medical form in before the try-out.

 

·         Are  you interested in Science Technology, Engineering, Math Business, Media or Programming?  Come down to the café after school to check out the Robotics team and see what we are all about.

 

·         The Region of Halton is looking for students interested in establishing the Halton Youth Advisory Council on Poverty.  The Council will help build awareness around poverty and make recommendation to reduce it.  Interested?  See Ms Cammisuli.

 

·         There will be a brief meeting for all members of last year’s senior girls volleyball team today after school in Gym C.  Please see Ms Malloch if you cannot make it.

 

·         If you ordered school photos on picture day they are here!  Pick up packages at the Devil’s Pit during lunch hours all this week.  You will need your student card as ID.

 

·         The members of the golf team must meet in room 172 at 3:00 today.  Important information about the tournament tomorrow and team shirts will be distributed.

 

·         Free the Children will be having our first meeting tomorrow after school in room 190.  Come out and learn how you can be the change at OT.
