·         Come show your support for Relay by coming to the teacher – student dodgeball game- Wednesday April 17th .  We will be collecting donations for the one dollar to watch and two dollars to play.


·         Members of the OT Badminton team competed in the Halton finals at Frank Hayden yesterday.  The competition was tough and each of our players gave it their all.  Congratulations to Sriram and Johnson who will be playing in GHAC next week.


·         Tickets for semi-formal are now available on school cash online.  Permission forms can be picked up at the main office and library.  Completed forms should be returned to the library.  The deadline to pay and return forms is April 17th.  Tickets are limited and available first come first served.  No forms will be accepted after April 17th.


·         Senior boys soccer forms are available to be picked up from the Moderns office.


·         Relay for Life will be running a bottle drive on Saturday April 27th between 9 am and 1 pm.  Save your bottles and cans over the Easter weekend and drop them off at the school to help support Relay.


·         The Jr girls rugby team travelled to Streetsville yesterday for their second exhibition game of the season.  They faced a strong opponent but came out on top bringing home a 15-10 win.  Fantastic efforts displayed by all with winning tries scored by Kayli Beeton, Victoire Serruys and Kathy Verth.


·         Attention all Model UN members:  there will be a mandatory meeting for all Appleby Model UN delegates today after school in room 102.  If you wish to participate on Saturday you must come to the short meeting.  If you cannot make the meeting see Mr Groen in room 102 or 106 at some point today.  If you don’t speak to him you will not be permitted to participate on Saturday.


·         Yesterday the Varsity girls soccer team participated in the St Thomas Aquinas Early Bird soccer tournament.  The girls dropped their first two games 4-0 to the host team Aquinas and 3-0 to St Paul Secondary from Mississauga.  The team bounced back with a 3-0 victory of their own against the Owen Sound Bears to end the day on a positive note.


·         Junior tennis team be aware that the boys and girls practice days have swapped.  Girls will be Mondays and Wednesday.  Boys will be Tuesdays and Thursdays.
