·         Did you know that 1 in 10 people lack access to safe water?   That is approximately double the US population.  To make a difference bring in your loose change to your period 5 class and the class that raises the most money gets a pizza party.

 

·         Have you got some exciting business news?  If you do, come sign up to be a vendor at the Entrepreneurs Expo.  There will be booths in the atrium during lunch periods and an information session today after school in room 237.

 

·         If you are interested in going on the Music Department’s spring trip to Nashville, today is the last day to register.  Information on how to register is hanging outside the Music room or on the Music Department’s website.

 

·         Are  you looking for volunteer hours?  Are you looking for opportunities to make an impact in our community?  Well now you can do that with the Volunteer Outreach Club.  We will be having our first meeting this Friday in room 210.

 

·         Thank you OT.  The formal dance on December 7th is SOLD OUT.  All contracts should be in the office if you want to attend the dance.

 

·         Do you want to earn volunteer hours with  your friends?  How about help kids in poverty.  EveryChildNow will be having a meeting today after school in room 211 with more information.  Bring all of your friends!

 

·         Did you know that Aboriginal women in Canada are murdered at six times the rate of non-aboriginal?  December 6th we wear white to condemn all violence against women.

 

·         Yesterday the senior boys basketball team opened their regular season with a dominant 66-43 win over the Milton Mustangs.  Jakob Newton and Mohamad Captan led the way with 13 points each while Nigel Bannister and Payton Cormier led the way on the glass.  Aiden Leszkowiat almost posterized a Milton Mustang.  The Devils travel to Georgetown tomorrow to compete in the 15th annual Orange Day Tournament.
