·         If you are interested in physics or want to challenge yourself on more questions, you can take a step further in the Physics Bowl Contest.  This physics contest will be written in March and the date is to be decided.  It includes grade 11 or grade 12 curriculum.  All grades are encouraged to participate.  If you are interested see Ms Durand or send an email.

·         Congratulations to Urmi Sheth, this years’ recipient of the Halton District School Board Student of Excellence Award.  Urmi was unanimously nominated by OT teachers and will receive this award in May 2020.

·         Yesterday the Varsity girls’ volleyball team faced off against Iroquois Ridge in the Tier 1 Halton semi-finals.  The girls fought a tremendous battle from the outset, with some spectacular serving runs from Hilary Power and Katie Tint, flawless defense from Lauryn Chew and powerhouse hitting from Tatiana Bozovic, Nikki Hyravy and Alex Dinsmore.  They lost the first set by only two points, then rallied to take the second set but ultimately came up short in set three.  The girls played throughout with courage and conviction and deserve to be commended on a strong finish to a great season.

·         Today is the last day of the Pen Drive.  During periods 3 & 4 in the atrium we will be collecting used pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters and markers that have run out of ink.

·         The Junior boys’ basketball team won the Halton Championship yesterday 55-35.  They led the whole game with contributions from every player on the team.  Tomas Serrano and James Preston played great defensive causing lots of turnovers.  Ethan Malicki and Max Holmes led the offensive and Ben Fullarton controlled the tempo of the game.  Congratulations on a great season.
