·         The boys baseball team beat Garth Webb 7 -2 in their semi-final game yesterday.  They will play for the Halton Championship Tier 1 next week against the Ridge.

·         Attention all students applying for Relay for Life Chair positions:  this is a reminder that group interviews are after school today.  Be sure to arrive on time.  Any questions see Mrs Hanley in room 126.

·         Did you know that the majority of the garbage that enters the ocean each year is plastic.  That’s because unlike other trash, the single use grocery bags, water bottles, drinking straws, and yogurt containers we throw out don’t biodegrade.  Instead they can persist in the environment for a millennium, polluting our beaches, entangling marine life and getting ingested by fish and seabirds.  June 8th is World Ocean’s Day.  Help recognize this important event by joining the Eco-Council during periods 3 & 4 today and tomorrow in room 226 for a documentary about oceans.

·         Do you want to hear awesome original songs?  Well you are in luck because Backstage the musical has just that.  Do you want to see pretty cool teens doing some pretty cool dance moves?  Backstage  the musical is definitely your place.  Do you want professional sets and comfortable chairs?  Ok well we don’t have that but Backstage the musical is still really great.  So join us tomorrow, June 8th at 7 PM in the theater.  Tickets are FREE.
