·         Yesterday the OT Junior football team kicked off its season against the MM Robinson Rams.  The Red Devils dominated the game in all phases.  Russell Weir completed touchdown passes to James Birchenough and Connor Andritsakos, while Brendan Black and Glen Kodua ran well and scored a touchdown each.  On defense, Declan Helmkey, Dan Keith, and Nathaniel Denomme each had an interception while Ethan Malicki and James Preston each had a sack in the 27 – 0 victory.


·         Are you looking to improve your public speaking?  Want to debate whether the Earth is flat, cats are better than dogs, or if felons should be able to vote?  If so, come join OT’s Debate Society, first meeting  is this Monday in room 189 A.  Beginners and experienced welcome.


·         Have you checked out the math bulletin board recently?  It’s new and improved.  It’s the place to find math contest information, math club dates and Pascal’s Perilous Problem, a monthly challenge problem.  Enter a correct answer for a chance to win a prize.


·         Do  you want to spend a month living and learning at a University campus such as UBC, UNB and the University of Waterloo next summer?  Do you want to explore STEM & Entrepreneurship through hands on, experiential learning?  Then you should come check out the SHAD summer enrichment program.  Learn how you can explore Canada, gain leadership skills and meet like-minded leaders from across the country at the SHAD Info Session taking place after school on Friday September 27th in the cafeteria.  Session is open to those in grades 10 and 11.


·         Yearbooks are here! Pick yours up in the Devil’s Pit period 3 & 4.


·         Anyone interested in being part of the Well-being Council; our first meeting is today after school in the library.


·         HOSA members planning to go to the competition need to complete their event selection form sent to your emails by the end of today.
