·         Fallfest is today!  At 11:30 today come out to the back field for pizza, snow cones, inflatables, live entertainment and much more.  If you want to go on the inflatables make sure your form is handed into your period 2 teacher or the office to get your hand stamped.

 

·         Attention all grade 9’s:  you are invited to participate in a 4 day ski trip this February in Saint Donat, Quebec.  This trip offers much more than just the skiing and all levels of French speakers are welcome.  Interested?  Want to know more?  Come to a meeting Monday, September 26th during period 3 in room 202.  We will run a session at the beginning of period 3 and second session halfway through the period.

 

·         Students registered to take the PSAT test please meet in room 232 at the beginning of your lunch period today.  Lunch is period 3 or period 4 not during Fall Fest.

 

·         If you are interested in being a part of the school improv team please come to a brief meeting after school in the theatre.  Try outs are Mon September 26 and Tues Sept 27 from 3-5 in the theatre.

 

·         Yearbooks are in!  Come to the Devil’s Pit during Fallfest to pick it up.

 

·         Tomorrow after school our Red Devils football team kicks off their season at home.  The game starts at 3:00 on the back field.  To support our Red Devils wear red and black tomorrow and come get your face painted during periods 3 & 4 tomorrow for extra spirit.

 

·         The junior girls field hockey team headed to U of T yesterday and won their first game 4-0 with goals scored by Olivia Gardiner, Erica McCracken and Paige Burkhart.  They tied their second game 0-0 and lost their third game 1-0 against the OT senior team, and they tied their last game 0-0.

 

·         Are you interested in learning more about mental health and helping to Break the Stigma surrounding mental illness?  IF so come to the SOS Club meeting today after school in the Library Conference room.

 

·         It’s been a busy 2 days for the senior girls field hockey team playing Tuesday at Hayden losing their first game 2-0 and winning the second.  Good job to players Jackie Carlson and Jordan Somers and congratulations for an outstanding tournament yesterday at U of T, winning 3 games and tying one.  Special shout out to Sophia Pallotta, Annie Matcham, Alex Kinkartz and Anne-Sophie Saraka for getting player of the games.
