·         Do you like designing? Or taking pictures?  If so contribute your efforts towards the 2017/18 yearbook.  Join the yearbook club!  Come to the first meeting today after school in Ms Zanini’s room for a brief introductory meeting.  New members are more than welcome.


·         Yesterday the Jr girls basketball team travelled to Milton to face the Mustangs in league play.  Our Devils got off to a slow start but kept themselves in the game with their defensive efforts which edged our Devils ahead in the last minute of play and securing a 25-24 win.  Important offensive contributions came from Lyra Ahmad, Zoe Preston, Lucy Edgar and Jayani Kantaria.


·         The Sr girls field hockey team were able to defeat Iroquois Ridge yesterday 1-0, playing an amazing game.  Shout outs to Sonya as player of the game and Gillian for scoring.


·         Attention grade 11 or 12 students:  wondering what life is like at an east coast University? The Atlantic Schools Association is hosting more than 12 East Coast Universities in the atrium on Oct 3rd during lunch.  Come prepared to be informed.


·         Board Game Club is back!  Join us periods 3 & 4 in room 195 for lots of fun and games with your friends.


·         Congrats to the senior girls basketball team for another hard earned victory.  Yesterday the girls beat Acton District High School 54-20 to improve to 3-0 on the season.  The team played exceptional team defence,  Honourable mentions go out to the overall excellent play of Captain Anisha and to the game’s leading scorer Ivana with 24 points.


·         Attention grade 11 & 12’s:  Are you looking for a super fun leadership experience?  Are you interested in business or Queens University?  Apply for QLEAD!  There will be an info meeting after school today in room 232.


·         Volunteer Outreach will be having our first meeting this Friday after school in room 210.


·         Are you interested in being a paid tutor for other students?  Are you in grade 11 or 12?  Student tutors are needing in all subject areas.  Come to guidance to pick up an information sheet and then complete the online application.  The sooner you complete your application the sooner you will be in business.


·         If you are in grade 9, 10 or 11 and are thinking about a career as a Doctor, the this announcement could change your life.  You can enter medical school right out of high school in the UK, Australia and the Caribbean.   Join us for a presentation from one of the most prestigious medical school programs in the UK- St George’s University of London.  They will be here to present to interested students and parents today at 11:00 in room 237.  Medical school abroad could be only a year or two away if you are prepared.  Contact guidance for more information.
