·         The OTHS Entertainment Committee is going to have a meeting this Thursday.  Be in the Writing Clinic for 7:45 AM.

 

·         The December issue of The Devil’s Advocate is out.  Come get your free copy of the school newspaper from the Library today.

 

·         This is a reminder that there will be a Chess Club meeting today in room 203 from 3:00 to 4:00.

 

·         Yesterday the Sr boys basketball team travelled to Robert Bateman for a double header.  After dropping a tough first game to Blakelock the boys rebounded with a big win against Bateman.  Sebastian Cain, Jake Moodie, Carson Somers and  Owen French had big games with solid defensive play.  Judhis Lilly and John Kinkartz led the way with big offensive games.  There will be a practice today after school.

 

·         This past weekend our Varsity boys hockey team travelled to Toronto to participate in the 39th Annual Brother Arthur Memorial hockey tournament held at Del La Salle College.  Despite losing three close one goal games the team continued to improve.  The team opens up their regular season on the road in Burlington tomorrow when they play the Huskies of Hayden.

 

·         Congrats to the Senior Girls Volleyball team on their win over Garth Webb on Thursday.  Shout outs to Zoe Preston for some great kills, Katie Tint for consistent setting and Niki Vegelj for some incredible digs.  Come watch the girls after school today.

 

·         Yesterday the Varsity girls  hockey team travelled to Burlington to kick off their season against MM Robinson.  The girls dominated from the start quickly jumping out to a lead on a goal from Reese Oliver.  In addition to Reese’s hat- trick Alyssa Haylock, Jackie Murray, Sam Carfrae, Katie Bouwman, Alex Levert and Katherine Muschett contributed with goals to the 9-0 victory.  Congratulations to Reese Oliver on her well -deserved player of the game.
