·         This past Thursday our varsity boys hockey team traveled to Georgetown to take on the Rebels.  The boys came out and took an early lead and never looked back on route to a 5 -0 victory.  Scoring for the Devils was Grant Rieckelman, David Hayman, David Hamburg, Liam Swanek and Ryan Radovich.  In goal and recording and shut out was Kieran Drover. 

 

·         If you are looking for some Community Service hours, the Oakville Food Bank can use your help during their Easter food drive.  See the volunteer bulletin board outside the theater for details.

 

·         Are you interested in business?  If so then come down and join the Entrepreneurship Club where we’ll do business enterprising activities that go towards charity.  The perfect thing to put on a university application or resume, even if you are not interested in business.  Come down to room 228 today and every Tuesday after school.

 

·         There will be a meeting for all members of the Well-being Club on Thursday morning at 7:40 in Learning Resources.  All members new and old are welcome.

 

·         Attention baseball players:  there will be short meeting after school on Wednesday for any players interested in trying out for the Varsity boys baseball team  in room 216.

 

·         DECA is hosting a special guest speaker Mark Tsou, tomorrow after school in the cafeteria.  Mark is a business developer at Siemens Canada.  He will offer a session jam packed with insights such as; how your interests can help you chooses a career you love, what he wishes he would have known when he was in high school and why soft skills are important for career advancement.  This is a one-time opportunity to interact with a business professional who has been through the challenges and questions that you may be facing in terms of post secondary and choosing your career path.  Come out after school tomorrow in the café to hear Mark speak.

 

·         The fitness room will be open after school Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4 pm.  Make sure you are changed into athletic wear and footwear and have paid your athletic fees.
