·         Yesterday our Varsity boys hockey team traveled to Sixteen Mile Creek Arena to participate in the Halton play- offs.  The team’s first game was against MM Robinson and the team played well and won convincingly 12-0.  In their second game they came up against a motivated Georgetown team and lost a close one 2-1.  This advances the Devils to the quarter finals on Wednesday against Nelson.

·         Students who are interested in joining a new club at OT concerned with Equity issues at our school are welcome to our first meeting on Friday March 2nd in room 202.  If you can’t make it on that day just let Mr Zingano or Ms Barsauskas know and we will add you to our list.

·         All students working on their Duke of Edinburgh’s award are encouraged to attend a meeting after school on Wednesday.  There will be a guest speaker talking about the Adventurous Journey and offering opportunities for students to participate in one as a group.  The Duke of Ed meeting will take place in the Library after school tomorrow.

·         Congratulations to the Varsity girls hockey team on a great start to their playoffs.  In the first game of the day they were dominant from the start defeating Aldershot 11-2.  Goals by Alex Levert, Hope Rieckelman, Vanessa Hanley, Ainsley Morrison, Robyn Jeffries and a cannon from the point from Brooke Westwater, in addition to a snipe from Rachel Draper.  Player of the game went to Tessa Bray for her adaptive play and constant hard work throughout the game.  The second game of the day the girls met MM Robinson and stepped up their game to take the win 2-1.  Goals by Vanessa Hanley and Hope Rieckelman.  Well done on great day finishing first in their pool and advancing to the Halton semi-finals.
