·         There will be an RDC meeting for the old and new tomorrow morning at 7:45 in the staff room.

·         Did  you know that when we burn fossil fuels, we don’t pollute just the air but the oceans too.  Today’s seas absorb as much as a quarter of all human made carbon emissions, which changes the pH of the water and leads to acidification.  This problem is rapidly worsening- oceans are now acidifying faster than they have in some 300 million years.  It’s estimated that by the end of this century if we keep pace with our current emissions practices the surface waters of the ocean could be nearly 150 percent more acidic than they are now.  June 8 is World Ocean’s Day.  Help recognize this important event by joining the Eco-Council during periods 3 & 4 on Thursday and Friday this week in room 226 for a documentary about oceans.  Snacks are provided.

·         If you haven’t heard,  something very big is happening this Friday June 8th; the Grade 12 Drama Class Musical .  The OT drama students have worked very hard to put on this show so if you had plans for that night cancel them and come join us.  The show is absolutely family friendly so be sure to bring your family members.  The ticket price is non-existent – it’s FREE.
