Finalized bus lists will be posted today at approximately 11:30 outside the main office.  If you are going to McMaster ( you have brought in your permission form and have paid) make sure you check the bus list at some point today so you know what bus  you are on.  Students going to McMaster will be dismissed from class tomorrow at 10:30 to meet in the café in your bus groups.  You will be returning by bus to OT at 2:15.

Attention all school bus riders;  if you ride on the school bus starting tomorrow, Wednesday, when you get on your bus the driver will be asking you to show your student card with the bus label on the back.  This confirms  your eligibility to ride that bus.  It is imperative that you carry your student card every day.  There is a one week grace period but if you are not able to show this card to the driver within this period you will not be allowed to ride.

With the championship football game tomorrow , where our Red Devils will be taking on St Thomas Aquinas, it’s almost necessary that you wear your OT swag or Red and Black especially if you are going to the game at McMaster.  If you are not able to make it to the game you can still show your school spirit and wear Red and Black to support the team as they go through the biggest game of the season!

One in three adolescents in Canada have reported being bullied and 73% of these victims are bullied online.  Although bullying may not seem like a large issue at our school it is an issue that we put on the back burner because it is not always seen in front of us.  Thanks to everyone for wearing pink yesterday for anti-bullying week.

On April 9th, 1917 the Battle of Vimy Ridge began.  By nightfall of April 12th the Ridge at Vimy was under Canadian control.  It has been said that Vimy Ridge was where Canada became a Nation.  Throughout Northern France and Belgium there are many historic battlefields and monuments to Canadian sacrifice.  Join other OT students on a life changing travel experience in March of 2017 as we experience the history we are learning in school.  If you are in Grade 9, 10 or 11 and are interested in learning more join us at our first information meeting this Thursday after school in the Cafeteria.
