·         A reminder that there is Chess Club today from 3:00 – 4:00 in room 203.  New members welcome.

 

·         Yesterday our Jr girls basketball team travelled to Gaetan Gervais for league action.  Our Devils got off to a slow start but began to pull away with a substantial lead in the third quarter and finished the game with a score of 41 -18.  Top scorers for OT were Kaitlyn Ruetz, Sarah Malone and Rachel Hamburg.  Rebounding mentions go to Sarah Malone and Sophie Gilbert.  Player of the game was Aimen Habib for both her offensive and defensive contributions.

 

·         There will be a brief Book Club meeting tomorrow after school in the Library.

 

·         This is a reminder to all DECA team members:  your field  trip form and online payment is due today.  See you tomorrow after school for your 1st practice.

 

·         Attention all Reach members; there will be no practice this week.

 

·         Are you interested in business?  Are you interested in helping the community?  If so, then come out to the Entrepreneurs Club today after school in room 237.

 

·         Interested in actin, writing or directing?  Do you love theater?  Come to  the One Act Drama Festival general meeting tomorrow after school in the theater.  It will be brief.  If you have any questions talk to Ms Muzzatti or Ms Chicho.

 

·         Baking Club will be conducting a meeting after school today in room 218.

 

·         Intramural rugby is cancelled this week.  We will start up again on Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

 

·         Any boys interested in playing for the Varsity hockey team this year are asked to attend a short but important meeting Wednesday Oct 3rd in room 153 at 2:50 sharp.

 

·         Are you part of a club, team, performance group or  organization  within the school?  Don’t forget to wear your gear ( team jerseys, club t-shirts, competition gear)  to school tomorrow to show your pride.  Do you love OT gear?  Wear that tomorrow too.

 

·         Yesterday our SR girls basketball team had a game against Craig Kielburger.  The Devils got off to a slow start but fought back in the second half losing 29 – 35.  Special recognition goes out to Kelly Hubbs for her amazing defence and to Emilie Demers and Lucy Edgar for their great ball movement.
