·         If you applied to be on a Relay Committee please meet in the atrium at 7:35 on Thursday morning.

·         Congratulations to the junior girls basketball team for another hard earned victory.  The girls were down 6 points going into the fourth quarter but found a way to come out on top.  Jaden Walker made a difficult basket to even the score with two minutes remaining.  The team was led by the shooting of Emile Demers and Annabel Childs along with disruptive defense provided by Anja DeVries and Lauryn Chew.

·         Attention graduating class:  if you have not handed in your pink scholarship resume and want to be considered for the U of T National Book Award, U of T’s Lester B Pearson International Scholarship or Queen’s Chancellor’s you must do so by this Wednesday the 26th.  Decisions on these school nominations will be made shortly.  If you want to update your info or meet about your qualifications please see Ms Throop this week.  Even if you are not the school sponsored applicant, if U of T is your school of choice you can  complete an Award’s Profile and National Scholarship Application.  Due November 4th

·         The TD Scholarship for Community Leadership must be mailed and arrive in Ottawa by November 18th.

·         Queen’s Major Awards Application is due December 1st.

·         There are only two more days to drop off  your items for the Garage Sale.  Help support Relay for Life and drop them off tomorrow or Friday.  See the posters around the school for more information.

·         Board Game Club has been cancelled for today.  We will be back on Friday with some brand new games.

·         Attention Swimmers:  This is a reminder that swim forms are due today.  See Mrs Stearns-Brown in room 136.

·         Attention all Curlers:  this is a reminder to have all curling fees paid online and hand in all forms to Mr Wilford  by Friday.  You cannot step onto the ice until you do so.  Curling Clinics start next Monday October 31st.  Due to the large number of students there may be a limit to the number of teams this year, so get your forms in ASAP.

·         Did you know that each month over 850,000 people turn to food banks?  Help out the Oakville Fareshare Foodbank by donating your non-perishable food items at the Free the Children table during periods 3 & 4 from October 24 to November 4th.  This Halloween help us scare hunger.
