·         Ever wonder about living off-grid?  Using alternative power sources and growing your own food?  Coming to you this semester only is the Self-Sustaining Shelter Project.  This project promotes the exploration of environmental technologies.  Come build wind mills, build food planters, design zero waste water filters and more.  The group will meet Wednesdays after school starting September 14th.  Winter is coming le’ts get ready.


·         The OSLC is a 3 day leadership conference in Niagara Falls on November 13-15.  If you are looking to build up your leadership skills & make a difference in the school community, this is an awesome opportunity. More information can be found at tinyurl.com/OSLCvideos.  There will be an information meeting about the conference Wednesday after school in room 221.


·         Junior boys volleyball tryouts are this week after school today and Thursday.  If you have not yet registered for tryouts and picked up a medical form please see Ms Malloch today at lunch in room 184.


·         If you are interested in joining yearbook this year come to the art room this Thursday after school in room 191.


·         Are you looking to get involved in your school in a fun & engaging way?  Come to the Club Fair periods 3 & 4 this Friday to find out what OT has to offer. 


·         Attention all student club leaders:  if you would like a table at the Club Fair please sign up on Facebook or come by the club connect office today during period 3.


·         It’s not to late to join Ultimate Frisbee!  We will be meeting every Thursday at 3 PM at Wedgewood Park.  You can get a permission form from Mr Baker, Mr Fotheringham or Mr Murphy.  Everyone is welcome, especially if you have never played.


·         Any students interested in participating on the cross country team are asked to pick  up forms from Mr Palmer in room 197.  These forms must be signed before you can participate.  Practice runs begin tomorrow after school.


·         The first meeting of OT’s gender and sexuality alliance ( GSA) will take place tomorrow at 3 PM in room 210.  Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans, Queer and questioning students and straight allies are all welcome.


·          Anyone interested in playing golf for the school there is a brief but important meeting in room 232 immediately following school today.
