·         The Junior boys soccer team participated in a tournament at Notre Dame in Burlington yesterday.  The team won their first game and with gritty play qualified for the bronze medal game.  Unfortunately they lost the game.  Shout out to John Akin Salami for scoring the first goal of the season.  As well as Liam Deschamps for his brilliant play as keeper of the net.

·         Last call for SHSM summer coop applications.  Applications close Friday April 15th.  Please return application to guidance today.

·         The OTHS Sr Jazz ensemble will be auditioning for a singer to sing a song with live band accompaniment for the Spring Concert on Thursday May 26th.  If  you are interested you can pick up the Music and sign up for an audition,  sign- up sheets are hanging outside of room 166.  Auditions will be held next Thursday April 26th after school in room 166.

·         The Environment Club group photo will take place today at the end of period 2.  Meet at the front doors  of the school.

·         There will be a Math Club meeting tomorrow after school in room 216.  Come in your “best dressed” as we will be taking our photo for the yearbook.

·         Congratulations to the junior boys rugby team on their tournament win yesterday at McMaster.  They beat Lorne Park 5-0 and Sir John A McDonald 15-0.  Men of the match were Eric Herauf and J.D. Leonard.

·         Co-op students for the 2016/2017 school year looking for a placement at Sick Kids Hospital must pick up an application package period 3  this week.

·         AP EXAMS:  all students registered to write an AP exam must attend the pre-admin AP exam meeting on Tuesday April 19th.  Please attend the meeting at the BEGINNING of your lunch period. 

Period 3 meeting will be held in room 195 on April 19th and period 4 meeting will be held in room 191 on April 19th.  This meeting is mandatory for every AP exam student.  Bring a #2 pencil.  The meeting will take 40 minutes to complete.

·         The Halton Down Syndrome Association is hosting a contest to promote acceptance and inclusion of those with Down Syndrome.  The first prize winners will receive $3,000 for their school.  On Thursday April 21st during period 3 and 4 there will be an event in the atrium.  We will be doing face painting, handing out cookies and Down Syndrome information as well.  As this is Sam and Jakes last year here at OT there will be a video station where  you can record our memories of friendship, speak about Down Syndrome and what it means or how it possibly affects your life.  Please come out and show your support for Sam and Jake and all those that are awesome just how they are!
