·         Attention OT Seniors:  it can take up to 50 units of blood to save a single car crash victim.  All it takes is one donation to Give Blood.  Come down to the office and sign up now to donate.  Somewhere in Canada, someone needs a blood transfusion to survive.  You have the power to give them life.

 

·         The Fryer, Galois and Hypatia Waterloo math contests will be written on Thursday April 12th in the cafeteria during period 2.  A list of participants is posted outside the math and science office.

 

·         Do you need volunteer hours or do you just love the environment?  The join us for the OT Earth Day Clean on April 23rd during period 3 & 4.  Sign-up sheets are posted around the atrium.

 

·         There will be a Book Club meeting today after school in the Library.

 

·         The Junior girls rugby team played their first game of the season yesterday.  The team played well beating a tough opponent in Streetsville Secondary School.  Tries were scored by Amy, Lauren C, Paige, Kristen, Ella and Kayli.  Great work girls.

 

·         All grade 9’s and 10’s are reminded that today is your last day to hand in your semi contracts and last day to buy  your tickets.

 

·         Free the Children Club is holding their We Create Change event starting next week on Monday.  Please bring in your spare change to your period 5 teachers.  Every class that raises $100 gets a prize.  The class that raises the most money will win a pizza party for their class.  One of our representatives will be visiting your period 5 class this Monday.

 

·         The Euclid Math contest will be written today during period 3 in room 216.
