·         Co-op students for the 2016/2017 school year looking for a placement at Sick Kids Hospital must pick up an application package period 3 this week.

·         Attention students going on the New York City trip:  there will be a brief but mandatory meeting after  school today in the café.

·         Want to see Mr Fotheringham on a unicycle all day?  Or hear Mr Yull sing O’Canada?  Or even have Mr Perera show his beard?  Then come down to the atrium to donate to help Wellspring which supports cancer patients and those affected for free.  When we reach certain goals teachers will do awesome things.

·         Congratulations to the senior and junior boys rugby teams on their convincing wins against Streetsville yesterday.  The seniors won 39-0 and the juniors won 38-10.  Men of the match were Josh Ince for senior and Luke Engelbrecht for junior.

·         The OTHS Sr Jazz ensemble will be auditioning for a singer to sing a song with live band accompaniment for the Spring Concert on Thursday May 26th.  If you are interested you can pick up the Music and sign up for an audition time.  Both the music and audition sign- up sheets are hanging outside of room 166.  Auditions will be held next Thursday April 26th after school in room 166.

·         Last evening four students from OT made a very strong impression at the Halton Public Speaking Competition.  Hunter McKinnon, Josh Hill, Konstantin Lenz-Gil and Vishal Vijay covered a range of topics, each one being original in its own way.  Special congratulations to Vishal Vijay for receiving the First Place award in the Junior category!
