·         For those writing an AP Economic exam there is a very brief meeting with Mr Pearson after school in room 232.

·         The long-awaited Ten Thousand Experiences event is happening today in the staff room during period 3 & 4.  The event features entrepreneur speakers from a fair trade NGO, coffee, chocolate, games and a chance to win Pakistan marble goblets.  So come to the staff room to have some fun.

·         Yesterday the senior girls rugby team opened their regular season with a convincing 70-0 win over the Nelson Lords.  Jackie Carlson earned the game ball with a 2-try effort while Claudia Taylor earned the hard hat for her work around the breakdown.

·         Attention grade 9 & 10’s:  tomorrow is the last day to buy tickets for the semi-formal.  If you want to come to semi you must have purchased a ticket and have brought in your contract to the main office.

·         Reminder for Chinese and Japanese AP exam students:  practice today in room 197 at 2:50.

·         Room change for peer tutoring:  go to room 196 today at the beginning of period 3.

·         The Wellspring Fundraiser is ending soon and if we reach $1000.00 Mr Gruber is considering running the mile with Ms McRae.  Student success will also bring back a popular snack for a week so continue donating OT.

·         The Halton Down Syndrome Association is hosting a contest to promote acceptance and inclusion of those with Down Syndrome.  The first prize winner will receive $3,000 for their school.  Tomorrow during periods 3 & 4 there will be an event in the atrium.  We will be doing face painting, handing out cookies and Down Syndrome ribbons to students dressed in blue and yellow.  AS this is Sam and Jake’s last year here at OT there will be a video station where you can record your memories of friendship, speak about Down Syndrome and what it means or how it possibly affects your life.  Please come out and show your support for Sam and Jake.
