·         Just a reminder that the We Create Change initiative is still taking place until tomorrow.  Please bring your spare change to your period 5  teachers for a chance to win a pizza party for your class.  Every class that raises $100 gets a prize.  As of right now the top three classes are Ms Preiner’s class at $96.60, Ms Socha’s class at $137.66, and in first place Ms Houselander’s class at $186.46.  We are having an event in the atrium today periods 3 and 4, come and make a donation and win a prize.

 

·         The senior girls rugby team had a dominant season opening win against Georgetown yesterday.  Multiple tries were scored by many players.  Player of the game was Gillian Groth.

 

·         Yesterday our varsity girls soccer team opened up their 2018 regular season on the road at Bronte athletic field when they took on the Wild of Robert Bateman.  The girls came out hard and took control of the play right after the opening kick- off on route to a 5-1 victory.  Scoring for the Devils was Morgan Caldwell, Lauren Chan and Anna Bremermann with a pair of goals each.

 

·         Can the senior and junior boys rugby teams meet in room 132 after school before practice.

 

·         Prom tickets are available until tomorrow through school cash online.  Contracts are due by May 1st.  Be sure to notify the Prom Committee of any dietary needs when handing in your contract.

 

·         Come by the atrium to see the Earth Day display that Design Club built.

 

·         The junior girls rugby team lost a tough match yesterday.  The girls lost 7-5 to Georgetown District High school.  Paige Murray played exceptional and was the Player of the Match.

 

·         Students registered to write the National Biology Competition;  don’t forget the test is tomorrow April 26th in room 234.

 

·         There will be a brief information meeting today after school in room 203 for all those interested in the Video News Club.  Join us to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
