·         A reminder to the Sr girls rugby players that the tryout is tomorrow at Pine Glen from 4 -5 pm.  No forms, no play!  Pick up or drop off forms to Mr Schaffler in room 132.


·         Attention all students interested in trying out for the Jr boys rugby team.  The first tryout is on Monday at Pine Glen from 4-5 pm.  No forms, no play !  Pick up or drop off forms to Mr Schaffler in room 132.


·         Congratulations to the Athletes of the Month for January:  Junior boys basketball – JACK PEROS,  Senior boys basketball – JOHN KINKARTZ,  Swim team – RIANNE AGBUYA, and THOMAS VERTH.  Please come down to the phys ed office at lunch today to have your picture taken.


·         Yesterday the girls varsity hockey team hosted the Georgetown Rebels.  The girls came out hard and jumped to an early lead.   After a back and forth game the girls ended in a 5-5 draw.  Well done to Kristen Akey, Alex Levert, Ainsley Morrison and Vanessa Hanley on their goals.  Congratulations to Kristen Akey on Player of the Game.


·         The senior girls volleyball team ended their regular season with a convincing victory over Abbey Park.  There was some great serving from Kelly Hubbs and Lexi Morrison, but a great team win overall.  Great end to the season girls.


·         Attention basketball players:  today’s games have been postponed.  Would all Sr boys please meet in the atrium at the end of period 2 today for an update.


·         There will be a Book Club meeting today after school in the Library.


·         Yesterday the Junior girls volleyball team ended their  regular season with a decisive win over Abbey Park, finishing with an impressive 9 and 1 record.  Come out next week to support the girls on Tuesday as they enter quarter finals.  Special mention goes out to Tatiana Bozovic for owning the party balls yesterday.


·         Wear your country colours on Friday to support your team during the Olympic opening ceremonies.


·         Skiers and Boarders are reminded of the OFSAA qualifying race tomorrow.  The bus leaves OT at 6 am, be here for 5:45.
