·         If you are interested in doing your co-op next year at Cogeco Cable or The Oakville Hospital, please see Mrs Stearns Brown in room 136 ASAP.

 

·         Attention Relay participants:  if you have a severe allergy, food related health issue, or a religious food exception see Mrs Piroski in room 189A for a food exception form.  These are available this week and next and due back  by Wed May 24th.

 

·         Are you tired of sitting on the sidelines and want to be a real leader in your school?  If so you need to become part of your student council also known as the Red Devil’s Council.  Grade rep applications are available in the main office so pick one up right away because the deadline for returning them is Tuesday May 16th at 3:00pm.  The election will be held on Thursday May 25- No late applications will be accepted.

 

·         Last night the senior and junior boys rugby teams hosted their home opener against Abbey Park.  The seniors won 49-7 and the juniors tied 17-17 with a last minute try by the better Finerty.

 

·         Join the Board Game Club during period 3 & 4 in the Café today and tomorrow to play MarioKart.  One dollar gets 2 races.

 

·         Time is running out to bring in  your donations for First Nations schools.  Remember for every box your class fills up you will receive 1 ticket to enter in to the pizza party draw.

 

·         A reminder that the Grade 11 Avogadro Chemistry contest will be written tomorrow during period 3 in room 211.  Bring your lunch.

 

·         The boys baseball team travelled to Kings Collegiate yesterday for 2 regular season games.  In the first game they were led by dominant pitching from John Carson and Dylan Whittaker in a big 2-0 win over Christ the King.  In the second game they fell behind early but battled back to draw an 8-8 tie with Frank Hayden, moving them into first place in Halton Tier One.

 

·         MADD will be holding an entire school assembly on May 15th.

 

·         Yesterday the varsity girls soccer team traveled to Bronte to take on Craig Kielburger.  It was a tight game with both teams having good chances but not able to capitalize on them.  The game ended in a 1-1 draw.  Scoring for the Devils was Anna Bremermann.

 

·         Hey cool awesome kids:  we want you to nominate link leaders for next year because you really do have good opinions. Pick up a nomination form in the main office.

 

·         If you finished fundraising for Relay and have your minimum amount of $125 then deposit your money on Bank Days.  Come to room 136 period 3 &4 to get your Relay money collected.
