·         Have a big heart?  Donate blood!  sign up for OT’s 3rd annual Blood Drive this Thursday  in the atrium.  Find out your blood type and get your mouth swabbed for stem cell donation.  It takes up to 5 units of blood to treat 1 cancer patient per week.   So remember “ It’s in  you to give.”

·         Congratulations to the senior boys soccer who won their game 2-1 against Robert Bateman yesterday.

·         Congratulations to the junior boys rugby team on their 42-7 win over Blakelock last night.  Andrew Easson hit all 6 conversions.

·         Last week 6 OT students along with 126 others from across Ontario attended the 4 day Laurier Business Conference.  They were broken into teams and asked to create a marketing and financial plan for the new company “ Invision” and pitch it to the CEO.  A special congratulations goes out to Sienna Riley ( whose team placed 2nd) and Bree Johnson whose team placed 1st.  Way to represent OT.

·         You must submit your co-op application form ASAP to room 136 or guidance.

·         The boys baseball team travelled to face Burlington Central on Monday, coming away with a 7-0 win.  Cale Cutcliffe led the way offensively going 2 for 3 and driving in 2 runs.  They play again today at 3:30 in Milton.

·         Two nights ago on our back field our junior girls rugby squad destroyed Christ the King 62-12.  Hard hat and game ball went to Gillian Groth and Robyn Jeffries.  Our girls were back in action yesterday against STA and pulled off another hard fought victory over a much larger team by maintaining their poise and not shying away from making the hard tackles.  Score in the game was 26-17.  Hart hat and game ball went to Gillian Groth and Niamh Reidy..

·         The OT math contest has been moved from Thursday May 12 to Tuesday May 17th.  The contest will still be written after school in room 216.
