·         Congratulations to the senior girls rugby team on their 71-5 victory over Georgetown yesterday in the Halton semi- finals.

·         Yesterday the girls soccer team extended their undefeated streak in league action with a Quarter-final win against the Spartans from Craig Keilburger.  The Devils only goal came from Alex Craig on a penalty kick after Anna Bremermann was taken down in the box.  OT’s defense was kept busy in the second half and with some great saves by Alex Sacha, OT took the win 1-0.

·         On April 21st the Lunch Buddies of OT held a Down Syndrome awareness event in the atrium.  The event was recorded and the video was used as an entry into the Halton Downs Syndrome Association contest.  The contest was district wide and included numerous schools.  To recognize the students of OT’s great spirit of inclusion the HDSB awarded OT First Place.  The HDSB will be awarding our school an award plaque and a cash award.  Our win is an example of our schools acceptance and friendship to all no matter their differences.

·         Congratulations to the senior boys soccer team for their 4-0 win against Nelson yesterday.

·         Attention students grades 9-11:  We have recently received a quantity of RBC Canadian Open Junior Passes for this year’s tournament at Glen Abbey Golf Club on Dorval Drive.  The Open features some of the greatest PGA tour golfers in the world.  These passes allow anyone 17 or under to attend the Open any day of the event between July 18-24.  Feel free to come by the office to pick yours up.

·         Yesterday our junior girls rugby team put on an impressive offensive display beating the Vanier Knights 66-0 to finish their regular season 6-0.

·         The Free the Children club is running their annual We Create Change campaign from May 16th – 27th.  Bring in spare change to your 5th period class and the class that raises the most money will win a pizza party.  All proceeds will go towards building a well in India.

·         Cooking Club is cancelled today.  See you all next week.

·         All skiers and snowboarders that will be trying out for the teams next year are eligible to participate in the trip to Banff this January 3-8.  If you missed the meeting yesterday drop by room 112  to see Mr Sargant and pick up an information package.
