·         There will be a Book Club meeting today after school in the Library.

 

·         Reminder to all Link Crew students involved in the Grade 8 tour tomorrow morning; please meet in Guidance right after morning announcement tomorrow.

 

·         Thank you for all who participated in the We Create Change Initiative.  This year our total was $1,849.63.  The classes that raised more than $100 are Ms Socha’s class, Mr Singh’s class and Mr Schaffler’s class.  The classes that won the pizza party are Ms Preiner’s class at $381.20 and Ms Houselander’s class at $373.26.   The money donated will go towards Education for Children in Ethiopia.

 

·         Yesterday the Varsity girls soccer team hosted the Rams of MM Robinson.  The girls found themselves tied 1-1 at the end of the first half but ran out of steam in the second half losing 5-3.

 

·         OT’s Coffeehouse has been rescheduled from tomorrow after school to Monday May 14th.  If you would like to perform please sign up through the Google Form, sign-up sheets or let Ian Greer or Javan Jiang know.

 

·         The News Video Club will be meeting after school in room 203.  Join us to learn more about this exciting opportunity,

 

·         The Varsity boys baseball team won their season opener 10 - 5 to Garth Webb.  Dylan Whittaker led the offense with a home run and rookie Blake Carson with a double.  Rookie pitcher Brayden Makowich closed the game to solidify the win.

 

·         Halton’s LGBTQ2+ Pride Dance is coming May 10th from 7 – 10 PM at Abbey Park High School.  Tickets are 10 dollars and can be purchased today during periods 3 & 4 in room 208.

 

·         This is an important message from Guidance for all student that selected courses for next year.  With your mid-term report card on Thursday there was a bright pink sheet.  This verification sheet listed the courses you selected for 2018-2019, excluding online courses.  Please review these course selections with your parent or guardian and submit changes on the pink sheet to guidance by next Friday May 11th at the latest.  This will be your only opportunity to make changes to your course selections until the guidance office re-opens at the end of August.  Any questions see a counsellor and don’t forget to submit your signed  pink sheet by next Friday.
