·         Congratulations to the senior boys soccer team led by captain Patrick Ladley- Fredeen, who finished their undefeated season with a hard fought 2-1 come- back win over Lester Pearson to claim the Halton title.


·         Make sure to keep bringing in change for Free the Children’s We Create Change campaign.  The 5th period class that raises the most amount of money will win a pizza party.  All proceeds go towards building a well in India.


·         Yesterday the senior girls rugby team steamrolled their way into OFSAA with a 96-0 victory over the St Jean de Brebeuf Braves.  Paris Trebell’s 2- try effort earned her the game ball, while Melis Atalay earned the Hard Hat.


·         Today is OT’s 3rd annual blood drive.  Please come down to Gym C  at your appointment time.  If you have not signed up drop by period 3, no appointment necessary.  Donate and receive gift cards from McDonalds and Pita Pit.


·         All tennis players who came out for the senior tennis team this year are invited to a year- end round robin and party today at Lawson Park from 3:15-4:45.


·         Attention ski and snowboarders:  This is a reminder for all those hoping to go on the Banff trip next year that the deposit is due June 1st.


·         Any grade 12 students who have not filled out their yellow grad forms must come to the main office  ASAP.


·         Yesterday the varsity girls soccer team hosted Jean Vanier in the Halton semi-finals.  Both teams worked hard and the Devils found themselves down 2-0 going into the second half.  The team kept working hard and managed to score a late goal and cut it to 2-1 but it wasn’t enough.  The game ended at 2-1.  Coach Scott and Coach Gruber would like to thank the girls for a great season!


·         Are you considering applying for medical school?  If so come to a presentation today in room 114 during periods 3 or 4 to find out about the application process from a current Western medical student.


·         Are you interested in a career in television or movie production?  TV Cogeco offers a Production Assistant co-op to eligible students.  See Mrs Stearns Brown in room 136 for details.  Past co-op students who have done their placement at Cogeco have gone on to excellent college and university programs in film and television.


·         The boys baseball team took on the Spartans of Craig  Keilburger yesterday.  They fell behind early but rallied to win 8-5.  Captain Clutch Aidan Leszkowiat had a big 2 run triple before riding solid relief pitching from Dylan Whittaker and Robbie Gauthier.  They play their final regular season game today against Blakelock.


·         There is no junior girls tennis practice today because the team is competing at the GHAC Tennis Tournament.


·         Yesterday the junior girls rugby team took on STA in the Halton Championship.  STA played a very strong,  physical game in incredibly hot conditions but the Red Devils were able to get up to an early lead and never look back, winning their 4th consecutive Halton Championship by a final score of 32-24. 


·         Congratulations to the senior and junior boys rugby teams for winning the Halton Championships yesterday.  The seniors beat Loyola 49-12 and the juniors beat Blakelock 54-14.  Men of the match were David Van Hees and Danny Duong.
